How’s Rachael from accounts getting on…..

They took over some loss making properties which they hoped to rescue but the wonderful government changes just tipped the balance. Thanks Rachel.
Funnily enough...

"Morrisons has been struggling due to a severe combination of crushing debt from its 2021 private equity buyout, fierce competition from discount chains like Aldi and Lidl, and mounting operational costs"

"Crippling Debt Burden: Acquired by US private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) in a £7 billion leveraged buyout, the supermarket was saddled with massive debt. Servicing this debt generates hundreds of millions in interest, heavily dragging down profits and forcing aggressive cost-cutting"

So you as well fail to see the underlying problem due to your shared ignorant/warped ideology

It has to be noted that you also fail to answer why other supermarket chains are doing much better given that they all operate under the same market conditions...

But no surprise there!

Are they? The government changes are affecting all of them. Stupid Labour government.

The key government changes and challenges affecting supermarkets include:
1. Employer National Insurance and Wages
  • Tax Increases: Changes to employers' National Insurance Contributions have significantly increased operational and wage bills for large supermarket chains.
  • Minimum Wage: Statutory increases in the National Living Wage have also added millions to payrolls. In response, grocers are relying on efficiency drives, reduced head-office overheads, and increased automation.

Thank you for affirming my point (y)

Changes are affecting all supermarkets alike, and yet Morrisons is struggling whilst the others are not...

It's not the policies, it's the mountain of debt that Morrisons has and poor decisions that they have made that defines the position they are in!

Well here's the thing...

People (brexiteers) were moaning about lower waged 'foreigners' coming in undercutting the 'indigenous' people, and yet when the minimum wage rises they moan about that too...

And guess what, taxes have to come from somewhere to maintain public services...

After all there is a £90bn+ gaping hole per annum that needs to be filled somehow ;)

And who is putting that figure up and up?
At the moment the orange rapist and bibi the war criminal have a lot to do with it...

Prior to that poo tin due to European destabilisation and war...

And let's not forget 14 years of nasty party rule...

But brexiteers hate to be reminded of the massive losses their vote cost the UK and are still in denial of the reality ;)

Yes 14 years blah blah - but labour were voted in on a promise to make things better - all they have done is made things worse. What dummies dont realise about the minimum wage is that its not just a minimum wage because every job just above the min wage also has to also increase to maintain the same "above min wage"

And how long have labour been in power?

Strange how the nasty party numpties were still blaming labour at the end of that 14 years of failure

Actually what the real dummies don't realise is that the whole wage structure has to change...

What is 5% of 10K and what is 5% of 100k?

Unless that changes the rich/poor gap will continue to grow...

But hey, you seem to think the poorest should always pay the price to keep the brexitanic afloat!

So basically everyone except the Labour government that you voted in is at fault. Yawn.

2 years

Great so how long do we give labour before we see a stop to things getting worse let alone and improvement. Would it have to be 14 years before people are allowed to say labour are crap.
