Trumps attack on Iran - 2026 edition

How will the upcoming attack on Iran go.

So, in Trumps forever war there has been a minor change. Iran just attacked Israel explicitly because of Israeli attacks on Lebanon. Apparently Trump is pushing Netanyahu to back down.

There are also rumours that Israel were pushing the US to hit Iranian power plants.

In further rumours Iran has restarted missile and drone production and dug out many of the launches that the US trapped in bunkers.

Iran hasn't shifted from its maximalist negotiation position, one which would leave them in a better position than before the war.

Israel is insisting on their right to annex more of Lebanon.

Trump is bored.
 
Trumpf wants a deal because meeting the mid west farmers made him nervous. Irann wants the war to continue to weaken Trumpf politically and (it thinks) get a better deal. Nettie was always going to respond because his electorate and cabinet expect him to. Meanwhile ordinary (dispensable) citizens die on all sides.

Trump knows he has gone in with no plan and has now nowhere to go with this. It is going to turn into another Vietnam if he isn't careful. He has created more problems than if he had stayed away, we are all paying the price with oil price increases, we have Russia and Ukraine to deal with and meanwhile our defence is growing weaker. Either Trump walks away now and leaves total chaos behind or it will develop into a full scale war.

He doesn't want it to end with a better than O'bama deal for Irann with their nuclear capability in tact.
 
Absolutely not - the Iranians have already made him look as dumber than he is.
If he allows any concessions then he'll look even weaker than he does now.

Lets hope we dont get drafted, our entire hunter class nuclear submarines are all awaiting maintenance, upgrades and repairs. We havent got one that is operational. We have one ship that is limping along so we may need a lift over there if we get the call. We would need to borrow some ammo too as we are short on that oh and a few thousand troops that we are short on. What a state of affairs.

We should have stayed in the EU worked with our European allies to build a European army. Farage's friend over in Russia didn't like that idea though.
