Winning means a deal that is better than O'bama's. But it also means harming Trumpf at the mid terms. Nettie will do for trumpf politically just as Re store will shaft Re form in Makerfield and let Burnam in. But the hate filled ideologists on the forum can't see it that way.
Trump is stuck, he demands a victory but isn't willing or able to pay the price for it.
So he's playing for time and hoping something will come up. Iran thinks it can maintain the current situation until the ongoing oil shortage finishes burning through stockpiles and more serious shortages kick in
Netanyahu wants to escalate the various wars and increase Israeli territory.

Nettie seems bound up in his personal and political survival. He genuinely seems to have both manipulated and ****ed off Trumpf but his avowed strategy of achieving long term security for his country appears - behind the rhetoric - to be less clear and certain than he suggests. I imagine he must be weighing up the pros and cons of the nuklear option.
