I’ll take it that you didn’t watch the clip and see BARBARA Windsor saying "that’s not a pun"? Get a sense of humour FFS.
 
Farage got less than 50% last time. This time everyone anti-Farage will vote Binface, plus a few more who've got annoyed with him since last election, plus a load more who didn't vote last time but think it will be a laugh to elect a bin.

Farage intended to be the anti-establishment candidate, but has ended up as the pro-establishment one. He's lost, to a space alien bin.

This is the Boaty McBoatface election, give the British public the chance to vote for something funny and they will.

It's strange he also wasn't aware of other British culture so embedded that everyone knows the spam sketch/song in monty python.
 
I'd like to add that I have no knowledge of the Barbara WIndsor reference, and was born and bred here far too many years ago.

It was a very oblique, weird reference. I reckon 1% would have got it.

Binface would probably be banned from taking his seat because he will not pledge allegiance to the king - only the intergalactic federation
