  Yes to remove the ring which holds the cartridge in. Keep it safe in your van as it will fit other valves.

  PCB fuse on Miele EL200C

  Excellent instructions. Replacing the fuse and relay fixed my W865. After replacing the motor brushes I was stumped and on the verge of buying a new one until I came across your post. But the fuse you identified is incorrect, it is actually a slow blow fuse. Farnell part number 1707510.
