Thanks to Simond.
I phoned Aqualisa (very helpful) and they said I do need to buy a new unpumped Quartz unit. They said it would cost £225.00 (inc VAT ) and they can ship to me directly next day included in that cost. They also said that that I do not need to buy the unpumped switch unit...
Thanks Seco.
Do you know if Aqualisa just sell the unpumped control box for the quartz? If so do you think it would be feasible to still buy the pumped system and then buy just the unpumped control box and use that?
Sorry about this as it looks sound like I am being stupid but to buy a...
Hi Seco
Thanks for the reply.
I know that it must be unpumped for the megaflo but need to know if I buy the pumped version of the Quartz (which a can get for a very good discount) can the pump be 'disabled' or is this imposible due to the design etc. In which case I will have to buy the...
Hi
Quick question please. I have an Unvented High pressure system in my house (megaflo) and in the process of updating bathroom.
I plan to install an Aqualisa Quartz digital shower (integrated into a Kudos Ultimate walk in enclosure) .
If I buy the enclosure with the PUMPED version...
Thanks Big burner.
Why would fitting a hi flow combi and accumlator be THAT much cheaper to install than a system boiler/UV cylinder/Accumulator.
I thought thr Hiflow combis were quite expensive to buy. Also what happens if the combi breaks. How do I get hot water?
I am open to opinions...
Thanks Steve.
Did you get BG to do it?
Have not really thought about getting them around?
JON.
PS: Was it worth all the expense to go unvented /totally modern system etc.
thanks for the responses (some more useful than others?).
Had another quote back today (£9800) very sim spec but no mention of accumulator so don't know if they have checked incoming mains.
Waiting for one more cost back and then decision to make.
Looks like this is going to cost...
Hi All.
In the process of getting quotes for complete central heating/DHW system.
Existing system is OLD (1980s). Floor standing Kingfisher in kitchen/single pipe to rads/unpumped gravity/Old rads/very innefficient.

2 young kids me and the...
Thanks for all the advise Guys.

Will keep you posted.
JON
IF i don't have sufficent flow/pressure what are the options.
I presume:
A) dig up drive etc and put in larger water supply pipe from the meter. This would then give me the option to either go Unvented or Combi.(also put in larger gas pipe this should be easy as the meter is also in the...
Yes will get them to check. My preference is for unvented so I will need good pressure and flow. If these are not great would you suggest going the Combi route and suppose with the V937 that has the water storage also?
yes hot water cylinder back up seems to make good sense to me. At least if boiler packs up etc I can still have hot water.
What is your opinion on the Vailiant fully integrated with the Unistor controls etc. Also can the unistor be fitted in the garage next to the new boiler. As this would...
