Very Narrow Sink Waste Pipe (Chase Into Wall)

Juuuuuussst about maybe. I had considered that too... it's an option if all else fails.... I had considered a nice full width, oak shelf and clipping the pipes underneath it, too. Both are options if the wall chasing doesn't work out I guess.

Very Narrow Sink Waste Pipe (Chase Into Wall)

Nope, as I said above, the soil stack (and loo) are on the adjacent wall, getting to it is the issue, not getting into it. Oddy, the ink wall is just plastered on the block, but the adjacent wall is studded.... getting to the adjacent wall "invisibly" is what I'm trying to achieve.

Kitchen - Cutting Kickboards Around Skirting Boards

Unfortunately I don't have a Fein Multimaster, and would prefer not to cut the skirts off to be fair... kickboards are easier to replace should the need arise! Following research, I've been considering getting a Profile Gauge, Coping Saw & file, to closely match the kickboards to the...

Very Narrow Sink Waste Pipe (Chase Into Wall)

Cheers folks. Bahco - I'm affraid the soil stack is on the adjacent wall, getting there is the issue, not getting into it! Others - It's not an outside wall, it's an interior wall made of block.... I'm uncertain of the exact thickness at the moment, so do need to measure it. What I was...

Very Narrow Sink Waste Pipe (Chase Into Wall)

Hi all..... I'm about to re-do our downstairs cloakroom. It only contains a sink & loo, but the pipe to the original sink were all run in a big, ugly box, running across the bottom of one of the walls. In replacing the sink, I'd like to chase the 3 pipes (2 x water, 1 x waste) into the wall...

Kitchen - Cutting Kickboards Around Skirting Boards

Hi all.... can anyone help me pls? I'm coming to the end of my kitchen project and just have 3 kickboards left to fit. Unfortunately, to make them a tight / neat fit, they all need to have their ends moulded into the skirting boards. The skirtings are builder std items, which are mostly...

Leaky Radiator Tail - Liquid PTFE Or Fernox LS-X?

Hi folks. As per the subject, I've just fitted a new towel radiator, but both tails keep leaking (where screwed into the rad), despite using PTFE tape. This is the first time I'd had an issue with any of our rads, so am looking for some advice on stopping the leaks.... Would you recommend...

Copper Pipe Soldering Problems - "Pooling"

JayJay, Doitall & Dangermouse - thanks for the advice, I've just made a lovely leak free sub-assembly! I'll complete the rest of the job tomorrow. Bengasman - your advice on trying with scrap pipe is good, thanks. However, "get a pro to do itl" was slightly less constructuve, like many...

Copper Pipe Soldering Problems - "Pooling"

Cheers for the quick replies. These are new pipes, I'm sub-assembling before fitting to the existing pipes, therefore, no water anywhere! I'll try the tips on only fluxing the pipe, not the fitting and I'll move my torch closer to the mouth of the fitting (I was heating further down the...

Copper Pipe Soldering Problems - "Pooling"

Hi. I'm having some problems soldering some coper pipe (we've had to move some radiators). It's not a task I've done before, so I've spent a lot of time reading up on the topic and watching videos (I know there's no substitute for practice, of course). I have a Propane Benzomatic torch...

Danfoss RAS D2 - Drain Off?

OK, thanks for the advice, I'll give one or two a tentative go and see how I get on with the pipes... (NB, pipes are 10mm and come from the wall). Ta.

Danfoss RAS D2 - Drain Off?

Yep, I did find a replacement tailpiece but as I say, it looks a lot bigger than the std radiator tail, therefore, requiring pipes to be moved... Danfoss Tailpiece Unfortunately the Danfoss website doesn't give any information on the part, so I can't tell if my guess is right or not. Has...
