I quite often do make overnight (not every night) hence concern about damaged cable as obviously not guaranteed that someone will be around if things go awry - smoking, sparking, shorting. In that regard doing nothing was never an option. So for now I have stopped overnight baking, particularly...
@foxhole Your assumption that everyone only makes bread overnight is unfortunately not the case in our household. I make rapid loaves throughout the day.....
@foxhole Thanks, but a short extension lead is not something I'm happy doing next to a kettle and pots of water on the stove. A kitchen worktop is not a safe place for extension leads IMHO. Too many people and too much potential for carelessness and water spillage. It's the potential for water...
Unfortunately, the waterproof flex connector is out of stock for both collection and delivery at Screwfix and the ones on eBay, whilst waterproof, are of unknown origin and MASSIVE.
@RandomGrinch this sounds hopeful. I can cope with ugliness. The cable is black and so is the connector.
550 watt according to the specifications listed in the recipe book thing - that's less than a kettle or hairdryer which surprises me. The moulded plug has a 13amp fuse which was fitted at...
Due the the proximity of the kettle to the only available plug and the impossibility of changing the kitchen around to accommodate this scenario a non waterproof flex connector is not a risk that Mr AKA is willing to accept as we can't guarantee that the area will be free of accidental...
@RandomGrinch if I cut the lead at that point the bread maker is basically unusable as the bread maker will be right up against the wall and won't fit under my kitchen cupboards. The only other option is to move it elsewhere in house and make bread on the floor. I usually make bread overnight...
Unfortunately it's right in the middle of the cable ! I'll try and post a picture but I need somewhere to host the picture. It's asking for an URL and I don't have picture hosting account anywhere - I'll need to set something up.
The power cable on my Panasonic Bread Maker SD-255 is badly damaged and needs replaced.
Three issues: I can't seem to find a replacement power cable that isn't American. I need a UK one. Can I use any power cable i.e. for a kettle or other heating element device or does it have to be a specific...
The picture shown with the thermostat being set to moon is a stock picture as our thermostat is in a dark hallway with no windows away from a light and hard to photograph. The picture of the boiler is our actual boiler though.
We usually leave the thermostat on clock (timed) set to 19/20/21...
We have a WB Combi which is working fine but the TR2 keeps sticking at 15, in consequence the boiler/heating often does not come on.
Mr Aka competent to fit replacement, but aware that TR2 is now quite old and hard to get, consequently out of stock many places and very pricey.
Aware that just...
