Underfloor Heat mat as a background cold water tank heater

Hi both True I could empty the tank faster but I was hoping to avoid it. The tank is covered in the loft but you are correct malatron its the loft piping that's the main problem. The drain is a good idea but the walls are stone and 2' thick. It would probably be easier to use the main drain...

Underfloor Heat mat as a background cold water tank heater

Hi ban-all-sheds, thanks for the reply. There is no central heating or mains gas. We have tried heating the downstairs by leaving on storage heaters but as the loft is well insulated and the roof is not, the loft space still gets cold. The storage heaters cost a fortune to run (about £10 per...

Underfloor Heat mat as a background cold water tank heater

Thanks for the replies. Prenticeboyofderry, The loft is well insulated but it is a second home and often left without heating for a while. The house is a couple of hunderd years old and in the bottom of a valley so sometimes it stays cold for ages (the Christmas before last we had 10...

Underfloor Heat mat as a background cold water tank heater

Thanks Chris, Could do but I have some of this stuff already from another job. I may replace the copper with plastic anyway which should sort the issue up to the ballcock but the last 2 winters have seen an inch of ice on the top of the tank too. Have you got any links to the stuff you...

Underfloor Heat mat as a background cold water tank heater

Hi All, We have a house high up in the Pennines and it can get very cold in the winter, for prolonged periods. The last 2 winters have seen me up in the loft with a hairdryer/hot water to unfreeze the pipes and tank, as you can imagine its a bit of a pain. What I would like to do is...

Hoover HND 6515 no heat, not element or NCT

Should be arriving back today, great service from the guys at EMW. It was broken, and it cost £35.88 inc vat and postage. This board seems to be used in a lot of Candy and Hoover dishwashers. They said they are getting boards in pretty much daily and its usually the heater circuit components...

Hoover HND 6515 no heat, not element or NCT

Just for info. I have sent off the module. They will test it and if broken I can pay to fix it and get it sent back (although it looks to be a bit more than £30+vat as quoted on web site). If its OK, it just costs £5 to get it posted back. If I get it fixed and that's not the cause they will...

Hoover HND 6515 no heat, not element or NCT

Wiring checked seems ok, pcb shows no sign of damage or burnt tracks. I think the next step would be a new pcb but these seem to be about £50. For the grief and the fact its a few years old, I may end up with a new machine.

Hoover HND 6515 no heat, not element or NCT

Yes its a dishwasher and yes it doesn't heat. No wiring broken as far as I can see under the unit but not checked the bundle that goes up to the control panel. Resistance of the element is within the range you describe, how can I detect an earth fault? Continuity onto the earth pin of...

Hi All, Tested element and replaced NCT, error of 1 sec beeps and 3 per second flashing LED of left most LED Just wondering where to look next, anyone got any diagrams of circuits. Would like to know where the level switch and the pcb are located in this machine. Many thanks to anyone...
