Hi All,

Tested element and replaced NCT, error of 1 sec beeps and 3 per second flashing LED of left most LED

Just wondering where to look next, anyone got any diagrams of circuits. Would like to know where the level switch and the pcb are located in this machine.

Many thanks to anyone who can help.

Andy

I assume this is a dishwasher & it doesn't heat?
The flashing & bleeping only tell you there is a problem, it doesn't say what the problem is. To find that out requires entering the service mode. However there are only so many causes to a no heat issue. If the element doesn't have an earth fault & the resistance is around 25 - 30 ohms + you changed the NTC, that leaves the following culprits; broken wiring/bad contacts - pcb - pressure switch - bad wash motor. The pcb is behind the control panel. To get to the pressure switch the LH side-panel has to be removed. Hoover pressure switches don't fail that often....Hoover pcb's do.
You won't get a wiring diagram., they are trade only.

Yes its a dishwasher and yes it doesn't heat.

No wiring broken as far as I can see under the unit but not checked the bundle that goes up to the control panel.

Resistance of the element is within the range you describe, how can I detect an earth fault? Continuity onto the earth pin of the plug from the element terminals?

How does the control panel come off?

Many thanks for taking the time to help.

Andy :D

Take off the lid (if it has one). Then take off the outer door & check the wiring at the door pivot point, continual abrasion here can cause damage to the wiring. The outer door is held by screws around the inside, same with the control fascia. A multimeter isn't good enough to check for earth faults, you need a 500v megger for this. Your rcd would trip if there was a flat earth, but if there is only a slight leakage to earth it could "confuse" the pcb without tripping the rcd. Personally I think your pcb is shot, remove it & check for blown components/tracks.

Thats excellent help there zipper, thanks very much.

I will post the results when I make any progress.

Thanks again

Andy

Wiring checked seems ok, pcb shows no sign of damage or burnt tracks. I think the next step would be a new pcb but these seem to be about £50. For the grief and the fact its a few years old, I may end up with a new machine.

Just for info. I have sent off the module. They will test it and if broken I can pay to fix it and get it sent back (although it looks to be a bit more than £30+vat as quoted on web site). If its OK, it just costs £5 to get it posted back.

If I get it fixed and that's not the cause they will buy the module back off me for £9+vat handling.

Seems like a good place.

Thanks for the address zipper.

Should be arriving back today, great service from the guys at EMW. It was broken, and it cost £35.88 inc vat and postage.

This board seems to be used in a lot of Candy and Hoover dishwashers. They said they are getting boards in pretty much daily and its usually the heater circuit components have failed. They said the ones on the original board are not very good.

So if you have a non heating Candy or Hoover washer, this is probably it.

Just like you said about 10 posts ago yoda/zipper
