Have had new cooker fitted (dual fuel) i want to add a cooker hood. The cooker connection is 40A, but cooker is 2500W max so will run on normal socket? can this just be wired to the cooker connection together with the cooker...

OK Thanks guys.... i cant get manual from shop (they dont have any, and no more of that cooker in stock !), so i'll get a new cable from fusebox fitted next week, to run just cooker. Begining to think that i shouldn't have bothered.... got to have new fuse box fitted, as theres no more space in...
