Thanks for responding. There is a large bay window in bedroom 2 that takes up most of the front wall, so don’t think I could squeeze one in the bottom right corner unfortunately

Thanks Nige. Assuming it is combined (pretty confident it is), how would you proceed?

Hi all Our house currently has one bathroom, with the soil pipe directly next to it. We are hoping to create a small ensuite in the largest bedroom (toilet, shower, sink). The challenge is that this is on the opposite side of the house to where the existing soil pipe is. I'm not sure whether...

    Damp Chimney / incorrect flashing?

Thanks @tomm12 and @johnny2007 appreciate your comments. I understand what needs to be done for the soakers, but so I’m crystal clear, can you clarify how the back gutter should be done differently? What are people’s views on the pointing? Look ok? I ask because the different shades look a bit unusual to my untrained eye. Could this...

    Damp joists in loft

Yep agreed I know it’s wrong. I was just wondering where water needs to to be allowed to drain from… as I’m trying to work out if all the problems are linked and water is getting between the tiles and membrane and causing the damp joists and the wet chimney

    Damp joists in loft

Thanks - are you referring to water that ends up between the membrane and the tiles? I am wondering if water is getting in that space in our roof and that is causing both our problems - making the joists damp as it trickles along the membrane then hitting the cement at the chimney and going...
