    Tile sizes

Got of the phone with the company that imports the tiles they say their Tolerance guide lines allows them to sell tiles up to 5mm different in size and call it the same tile. 5mm difference in size to me sounds like a completely different tile as theses tiles are 45x45

    Tile sizes

Hi, I ordered two different batches of the same porcelain tile, same size etc. However now that they have arrived my builder has noticed that the first batch are smaller than the second batch. The difference in size means that we are unable to lay them down in a straight line. The...

    bifold door condensation

The dpm is one brick course below the door. Where the cil meets the brick is actually cemented. I'm going to put in expanding foam under the gap as a precaution and apply some waterproofer liquid myself.

    bifold door condensation

I spoke to the bifold people where where actually really helpful. They said they hadn't seen condensation in that part of the door previously. Looks like the builder when he installed the frame didn't take into account the weep holes which are on the bottom track. The water has no were to go...

    bifold door condensation

There is definitely no foam under the floor. It is just open to the air. I don't think it does coincide with wet weather. It seems to be when we have the central heating on max and the temperate difference is highest between outdoors and indoors. The only other thing that occurs to me is that we...

    bifold door condensation

Hi, I've had a triple glazed aluminum bifold door installed. The doors work great, however I've noticed that just on the underside of the frame on which the doors hang that I have condensation. I am fitting a engineered wood floor which will come up to the edge of the frame. It will be...

    Tile trim not needed?

I will have a word with him on Monday. He suggested we use carpet trim last time instead of tile trim. He says he has it in his bathroom. I don't belive him. I think he suggested carpet trim because it sits on the surface and it is less work for him to fit.. I haven't paid him for...

Samsung LCD TV remote can't change channels etc.

You can pick up a new remote for your tv off amazon for just under 4 pounds. I wouldn't bother trying to have it repaired.

    Floor screed drying times

It was actually fitted by specialist subcontractors who do nothing but liquid screed floors in the midlands. I guess from your reply you can't see any noticable Latience? I've tested the floor with a moisture meter that I got off amazon and the highest level i could get was 35% (hallway)...
