My downstairs shower room has an enclosed shower cubicle. I would like to put the washing machine in the shower room (about 2 metres from the shower head). I could take the power lead from the machine through the wall and plug it in to a main power ring socket outside of the room...

Thanks for the fast replies. I will think about changing the cable and an isolating switch for the fan.

I have a bathroom fan that is not connected to the bathroom light switch but operates on it's own pull string. I want to change to a new fan that is connected to the light switch and continues on for a short time after the light is switched off. Can this be done with the existing fan's cable...
