I live in a semi-detached home and the chimney and roof needs reparing. Although I have no problem sharing the cost of the roof with my neighbor, the chimney is on his side of the roof, we do not have a fireplace or access to it at all (he has a fireplace). In this case, am I legally obligated to pay half of the chimney cost?
