Well an update for anyone interested, problem has come back, ordered a new switch, (well complete cover) from Amazon (shower doctor)

Well took the cover off, high resistance, sprayed it with contact cleaner. Now seems ok, it's only a temp fix, but there's no point in replacing it as its 5 years old. Hopefully it will last until something else goes wrong & I will get a new shower.

I'll check continuity of the switch tomorrow. It's lasted 5 years. What makes do you recommend? Thanks

The pump runs when the stop/start is on or off. With the mains supply on, & the start/stop in the stop position the pump runs, , if I then push the switch to start, the pump slows down slightly. Water come out ok in both positions. Isolating it, stops the pump completely. :( :( :( :(

You could have a virus or spyware on you computer. If you need some free anti virus software I recommend AVG. Also download & run spybot & ad aware. They are both free.

The heating & hot water are ok. The boiler doesn't fire up when everything is off. it's just that the pump is on continuously, this could have been happening for ages, it's just that I now notice noise from the pump, which I suspect is air, I'll keep bleeding it to stop the noise, but from what...

I have found the servicing & installation manual. The Glow worm boiler has a combined thermostat & pump overrun, but there is also an overheat cut off. which has a wire going to the thermostat. Could my problem be the overheat cut-off? :roll:
