    House rewiring and wooden floors

Many thanks for your help - I will contact the electricians on the list. I was planning to have the work done when I was on holiday so they could just get on with it without us getting in the way. Hubby not so keen, but is this a good idea? Thanks again Andrea

    House rewiring and wooden floors

Hi When we bought our house the surveyor suggested rewiring at our convenience, and we are now coming to a position to be able to do this. I would like some new sockets put in - some rooms only have one - but am concerned about how much mess it will make. Will there need to be channels coming...

Draining down C/H system - radiators have stopped emptying

Hi thanks for the advice. What about the cleanser that may still be in the system. If we drain that rad, is there a way that we can flush the rest of the system to get rid of the rest of the cleanser. Will this work with running the mains through the system.

Draining down C/H system - radiators have stopped emptying

Hi We are using what we think is a drain cock on the boiler, we haven't seen any other drain cocks obvious. When we try to vent the rads, there does seem to be water in the rads.downstairs The mains appears to be flowing from the loft and is running out of the drain cock, as when the mains...

    Low pressure mixer taps

Yes - the pressure was fine in the old bath with the 2 sinlge taps and the 22mm hot pipe. I am going to look for a mixer with a 22mm hot water feed. Thanks very much for your help - I will never take taps for granted again! Cheers Andrea

    Low pressure mixer taps

Thanks for that - I have phoned our local plumbers merchant but he seemed to get a little confused but suggested i pick up a brochure. I also emailed one of the online shops who advertised mixer taps which work on a minimum of 0.1 bar pressure and got the following response - "The only way a...

    Low pressure mixer taps

I am thinking that changing the tap is the best option - but want to be sure I buy the right thing this time. The taps need to be wall mounted - other than that I am open to options. Can anyone recommend a brand or tell me what to look for? Thanks Andrea

    Low pressure mixer taps

Thanks for the response. If its the tap that is the problem, could I just change the tap, or will I get the same problem with any tap? cheers Andrea

    Low pressure mixer taps

We have recently refitted our bathroom but seem to have fitted a bath tap with a higher pressure requirement than we have - the hot water is very slow coming out and once you mix in some cold it goes completely cold. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a low pressure wall mounted mixer or...
