    Thanks to all for your good advice. Sounds like there is a good reason for the hole to be there... I think I will live with the weeping for the time being and get a plumber if it gets any worse or causes any other problems. Cheers, Ash

    Hi Tony, Thanks for the reply. The boiler works fine so far. Its only about 3 years old. A 5mm LED wrapped in PTFE seems to fit perfectly...It seems to do the trick on the short tests that I have done. Don't want to cause any more serious problems though... Ash
