Hi,
I have an Alpha CB28X that has developed a leak from the bottom of the diverter valve assembly. The boiler works fine except for this. The leak is constantly there, but has gotten worse recently (steady drip).
It drips faster when a hot water tap is turned on.
Looking at the corrosion around the area it looks like its been there for some time. The water eminates from what looks like a recess for a grub screw.
Pic attached, this is taken from the underside of the valve assy. Hole in the middle of the pic is the culprit.
I am tempted to just block this hole up with a bung...my worry is that it is a breather hole of some sort, and its there for a good reason. I did consider taking the assy out and replacing seals but it looks a sod to get to the fittings.
Anybody know what the recess is? Thanks
