OK so an update to hopefully help others in future.
I purchased: immersion wrench, PTFE liquid, new drain cock, hose, inhibitor so maybe £40
Plan was to drain down the system and remove/replace element and replace drain cock.
Isolated all electrics
Removed supply cables from element - these...
Hi, I need to switch out the heat element on mine later this eve and am not at home right now, I remember that the "bit" shaped piece on the outside of the tank is pretty large. I guess I'll be needing to buy a big spanner for the job.
Please - is anyone able to measure the size of this so I...
Thanks for that. I'll give fixing the current small issues a go but before any real expense I'll get a replacement then if the tank itself is going to start causing issues going forwards not much point in putting more money into this.
In my last house I wired to a central point in the loft for the recorder and this was connected to the network so I could remotely access setup/footage and it would be less likely for someone to find the recorder - or at least would take them a while to. Just a pain if you need to physically get...
Hi all, we've a small flat with one of these in and it has a couple of small leaks but otherwise works fine.
The leaks are 1) from the drainage exit and 2) around the connection of the main heater unit .
I thought I may have a go at fixing these but wanted to check I wasn't doing this wrong...
Thanks - my question wasn't maybe clear enough.
I'm aware you can have a 4 door config with 3 folding to left and 1 to right and this is likely what we'll end up with.
In the perfect world there would be a system that allowed the right hand door to EITHER open to the right (as above) or by...
Hi all, have a bi-fold door configuration challenge
We have an opening that is currently c2m and has a simple 2 bi-fold door system sliding to the left (viewed from inside the house). Very happy with that. But, as part of a kitchen de-design we’re opening this up to 4m to 4m20cm and need...
The proposal from one supplier/fitter is Worcester 18i + Worcester cylinder 250L indirect unvented + various other parts to make it all work. With the added complication of the condensate pipe - though maybe we can route that over the roof to save going through concrete floors and re-tiling part...
Wow yes just noticed the weight, that could be a challenge to get up 2 floors with not the widest staircase :-)
Really appreciate the input.
Many thanks
Adam
Thanks Tony for your reply.
There will generally be 2-3 people in the house, more of a holiday home at the moment than full-time use but that is hoped to change in a few years so we need it working well for 2 people full time living.
I was thinking not to have any storage just a combi -...
Hi all, I’m looking for some guidance on whether we’re planning on the right boiler solution for our house.
The house – 3 story townhouse with 3 bedrooms, 2 living areas, 2 bathrooms with showers, 9 years’ old.
Boiler – Current one is v noisily and a couple of different opinions say to...
Thanks guys, I have the new thermostat that needs just a live in/ out.
I opened up my current one and it has the following:
What do I need to do to replace this with the new one? I was hoping to see a similar live in/out so bit stumped.
Thanks
