Megaflo Electric - doesn't heat at all during the day?

If, like the heatrae sadia I just removed, your controller should/may have a overide timer which will heat the water (mine was for 60 mins). See pic of timer here...

    Size & Depth?

Thanks doitall. Would I be right in presuming pipe depth under paving slabs is same as concrete? Any idea on the diameter of the pipe? 25mm?

    Size & Depth?

Yeah the question last time was what type of pipe and what depth. Got advice on pipe type but not depth. The 28mm is existing pipework running from outside ground level up and into cupboard where the boiler is gonna be and local corgi said he would utilise that to go from the MDPE to the boiler.

    Size & Depth?

Hi, Can anyone tell me: A) What diameter MDPE would be required for LPG supply from the 4 bottle changeover valve to boiler. Only appliance that will be connected is a Vaillant Ecotec Plus 831 combi. Distance is approx 20M underground then will join existing 28mm copper for about 10M to...

Megaflow + Combi-boiler? (installation costs fair?)

I'm just removing an 18 month old Megaflow 210, the perfomance is fantastic and the heated water is good for a couple of days if you dont have the immersion on every night (obviously dependent on usage). It cost me £1,100 installed including removal of old tank and I'm only removing it to...

Combi boiler drain into internal waste pipe

I presume a HepVo trap plumbed into an internal waste pipe can be used for the condensate outlet of a combi boiler? But can the pressure relief valve outlet, using a tundish, go into a HepVo? If so, I presume again, it has to be a seperate HepVo.

    Blue stain

The business is a floatation centre and the tanks are topped up with fresh water to replace that lost by evaporation and none is disposed of down the drain so therefore cant use a system that adds any chemicals but not knowing the ins and outs of water softners, think I'm gonna have toi get some...

    Blue stain

Hi John, Thanks for the reply. We're in Suffolk and believe the water is fairly hard. The last plumbng work was at the installation of the CH system about 20 months ago. We use a fair bit of water as it is a commercial site and have 3 showers (although not used all the time - prob...

    Blue stain

Hi, The hot tap in the basin upstairs is leaving a blue stain on the basin (tap is dripping very slighty but is not used very much). It's fed from an Ariston WRC-NSF cylinder which is heated by an Alpha CD18S boiler. Any ideas (apart from fixing the drip!) Cheers Kev

    May seem a stupid question

I've purchased a thermostatic shower mixer bar but cannot for the life of me see how it is fixed (clamped) to the wall. Instructions are pretty useless and cant get hold of the person I bought it off. And yes, am gonna get someone to fit it but just don't want to look stupid if bits are...

    What size Vaillant?

Hi, I'm gonna have C/H installed from scratch and would like some advice for budgeting purposes on which output Vaillant (LPG) combi boiler I should get. House is 2 bed with 1/2 metre thick solid walls and will have 10 rads totaling approx 17kw. It has one bathroom and no en-suite...

    No Room Stat

My partners house has a Vaillant boiler (non combi) CH system with TRV's on all radiators but it does not have a room thermostat. This system was already installed when she moved it. Is this an fairly normal / acceptable situation? Thanks in advance
