i gave the bare mdf,a mist coating of oil based wood primer, then a couple of good coats of a cupboard paint i found in wickes, which is water based and easy to spray and clean up the kit afterwards, it all look really nice.... it does say the cupboard paint [water based] can be applied...

i have built some mdf countertops/shelves, with curved edges and routed edge details, i would like to paint them with my compressor,and spray gun, ive painted fences and cars with it, would i be best to use a water based undercoat and top coat or will the mdf react to it, should...
