    ELI Reading above 200

would this have been something that would have been checked when the meters were changed?

    ELI Reading above 200

thanks for the quick response. Yes - the earth electrode is at the front of the house - in a damp area, that's more hardcore/brick and sand than soil. But it's been totally frozen the last week - so i suspect this wouldn't help. I'll have a look at the connections tomorrow - but i have no way...

    ELI Reading above 200

I'm after some clarification please? We have a TT system with an RCD, and as far as i can understand from the 17th regs (411.5) says that the maximum earth loop impedance on a TT system for 230V with a 30Ma RCD installed is 1667. It also says that anything above 200 would be unstable, with...

    Valliant pump issue

Had jerry rigged the pump to a switch so that I could at least get some hot water - not entirely ideal but needs must (an all manual op - timer was switched off) When i came back to measure the voltage this morning - nice 250v supply going to the pump. The only thing that's been touched is...

    Valliant pump issue

Have got my hands on a digital multimeter. On the PCB, i can hear the click of the relay - however the voltage drops initially to around -4v and then randomly jumps to varying levels between -4v to +3v - so it looks like somethings blown. Would i be correct in assuming a new PCB is in order?

    Valliant pump issue

Thanks for your response. initially it was at the pump connection. Now - it's on the pump connector on the PCB. Have to say that i am confused myself why the multimeter is reading zero, but the neon is lighting - I am assuming that this is down to it being an analogue tester, and that the...

    Valliant pump issue

Multimeter shows zero volts both at the pump and on the PCB - so i don't know what the neon is picking up - but it's on both L and N. Have tested fuse on PCB and it's ok - so it looks like the PCB is faulty ???

    Valliant pump issue

not yet - will be picking up a new multimeter in the morning - i've been using a voltage screwdriver - so know there is something there.

    Valliant pump issue

Have a strange one which i could do with some help with. My Valliant 428 is failing to activate the pump. I know the pump works fine as i've tested it with a 3a plug. However, when wired into the boiler I get an F22 - boiler cable or pump fault - the boiler calls for the pump, however the...
