It's paint for the most part, plasterboard where I went a bit rough with the scraper. Going to fill in the plasterboard bits, sand ituse Peel Stop to prime then mist coat and repaint and hopefully that'll work. Unlees you guys could suggest something else.

It's always been water based, variations of bathroom, anti mould paint. Always painted over existing without issues until now.

Going to have a crack at this over the weekend. Just to check. Take tension off the spring via rods/grips Do I tighten grub screws to stop spring springing back to original postition Realign cable. Restension spring and retighten grub screws. Cheers

Haven't got round to doing it as yet, but out of curiosity, why lock the spring in place when i'm not touching it. Does loosening the cog not have anything to do with the spring which is about 1mtr from the cog?

So watched a few videos and they say lock with mole grips but with different doors to mine, then seen this video with same make (no windows on mine though) with same spring and cog layout. Guy in the video doesn't use mole grips to secure it though. Will give it a go in a few weeks when i'm off...

Cable came off the grooved pulley wheel(?) and the garage hook kicked in to stop it from falling few days ago, managed to close the door until I could get a better look at it, seen that the cable was off tne wheel. Opened the door fully and the cable went back onto the wheel by itself, only...

Yeah, that's the hose. Although can get results for a hose, doesn't give me sizes, so don't know if it will match.

Managed to get it off cut it and rejoin it, just a temp fix until I get a replacement. Now does anyone have any idea what the hose is called, whenevr I search variations of drain hose it always comes up with the long grey hose Thanks
