    I am no Tiler

Thanks, I think I will. Good job we are all short@rses. I have a mate that's 6 7 though - might have to stop him coming around if i make the ceiling any closer to the floor. If I live here long enough and mess this job up enough times anything can happen.

    I am no Tiler

Thanks @Doggit , I reckon the breaker would be the proper option - but i'm worried i'll end up with a completely forked floor underneath. I fully buttered the tile with way too much adhesive. not sure how that would come off. - Judging by the baldness, deafness (selective hearing), and belly...

    I am no Tiler

Ah man. Too embarrassed for pictures. Floor is pretty level. It's just the lips, but i'm hoping that some underlay would swallow them a bit.

    I am no Tiler

Earlier this year, I tiled my kitchen, about 25 sqm. It's not really rubbish, but I've never been happy with the end result. There are too many lips and sometimes the grout lines are different by around 2 or 3 mm. My wife is happy with it, people have complimented me on it, but truth be told, I...

Insulation boards and/or self levelling compound?

Hi. Going to be tiling the downstairs of the house. Have a screeded concrete floor that looks pretty level (haven't checked it yet, but no majour bumps or dips). I was going to put down some self levelling before tiling, only because I thought it might make for an easier job and a better finish...

    Foundations near drop

Thanks all. Investigated the options and I thin my budget is too small. Going to convert the garage to a habitable space instead and put a wooden structure up instead.

    Self leveling 60m2 - how?

Thanks for the advice. The PTB Fibre looks interesting. Is it easy to work with? The floor is pretty good, and has a screed over the concrete already. I don't think i could do whole lot in one go as I am on my own doing it, and I need rooms I am not working in to put stuff in from room I am...

    Self leveling 60m2 - how?

I am about to tile the downstairs floor. It is 60m2 over 2 rooms either side of a hallway. I have tiled walls and smaller floors before, but nothing on this scale. I am confident that I can do it, however I have a question regarding how to self level the area. The floor is concrete and is in...

    Foundations near drop

Thanks all fr getting back to me. Been away for a few weeks with no internet. The embankment is a vertical drop. No retaining wall, just a fence. Although I've never looked at whether the fence goes straight to the floor of neighbours garden or just to the floor of mine with a retaining wall...

    Foundations near drop

Hi, I am hoping to build a structure in the garden that adjoins my garage. This could be the first of many questions asking for advice. The structure will be 8m by 4m singe story. Two of the walls will replace fences at the boundary with two separate neighbours. Where the 8m wall is to be...
