Beko washing machine wont spin - motor or controller fault?

Just a quick follow-up for completeness... The shop diagnosed a faulty motor control board but advised these are out of stock and very expensive. I have therefore bought a better quality machine with a decent guarantee. Thanks for your help!

Beko washing machine wont spin - motor or controller fault?

Thank you. I have taken the machine to a local repair shop today (who said the exact same thing as you). They are going to inspect it and provide a free report of the fault before I proceed. Many thanks!

Beko washing machine wont spin - motor or controller fault?

I was thinking about this a little more... If the motor spins freely when disconnected from the board, but goes tight and juddery when connected (and won't spin automatically) does this not point more toward the board being faulty?

Beko washing machine wont spin - motor or controller fault?

Hi, it pumps out the water as normal for about a minute, then it should spin for a couple of mins, then pump, spin etc for a total of 15 mins. It goes through the full 15 min cycle, but at the points when it should spin, nothing happens. No noise, nothing. After that minute or two is up, it...

Beko washing machine wont spin - motor or controller fault?

Hi all, I have a Beko ECO WMB81445LW washing machine which, after me pausing it mid-cycle yesterday now refuses to spin. All cycles still complete; it just doesn't spin during the spin sections. Here's what I know: The belt is intact. The drum spins freely by hand when the belt is removed...

    New Electric Shower Supply Question

So, you're honestly saying quoting a ball park figure of a million pounds is not sarcastic? I think it was. My whole point of ASKING THE QUESTIONS WAS BECAUSE I AM NOT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN WHO KNOWS WHAT IT MAY COST, AND NOT AS YOU STATE, THAT I HAVE A VERY ODD IDEA!!! It would have...

    New Electric Shower Supply Question

Thanks for the really sarky response. I will be asking the qualified electrician, I was merely asking a question to ascertain a ball park figure before I get 2 or 3 people in for quotes. i.e. if it's going to cost me an extra £100 then it may not be worth my time, etc. Where is this...

    New Electric Shower Supply Question

Thanks guys. One more question in that case, how much (roughly) will these extra items cost? Thanks.

    New Electric Shower Supply Question

Hi all, I'm thinking of having an electric shower installed (currently a mixer off HW tank). I will be getting a qualified electrician in to do the wiring, but wanted to estimate costs first. My question is this: The consumer unit has space for just 4 fuses, all of which are in use: "Ring...
