Interesting question. The syn cost me £14.00 from Screwfix, it took 10 minutes to fit.. Now I would ask you the same question,, how much do you think is a reasonable charge, then I will tell you what I was quoted.

If only it was that simple,, you need a bank loan to call an engineer out these days,, there is no such thing as a quick simple cheap job. All jobs are serious,expensive and a rip off. Someone should start up an honesty club for tradesmen.

Well what can I say other than a big thank you..I am 67 years of age and the thought of having to call an engineer out frightens me. I realise it has taken years of training to become skilled and they are entitled to a decent living but the call out costs are scarey before you even start talking...
