spare part for WC flush mechanism (Ed.)

Can't remember where toilet was bought. It was some mate of my dad's who installed it many moons ago (15 years or so I'd guess). I'll look on Toiletspares.co.uk, but also not averse to buying a whole new mechanism if needed. But hoping I don't need a whole brand new toilet! Thanks all

Actually it does screw off at the join as indicated by the red arrow in the image below:

spare part for WC flush mechanism (Ed.)

Hi The pic attached is from my toilet flushing mechanism. The green circle shows the bits that have broken. The rod in the right of the part labelled 1 goes in those holes. I am a newbie so don't know what I am searching for, but I need a replacement for the part labelled 2. My toilet doesn't...

Extend wires from control panel to sensor

I need to add a good few metres to the run. The sensor is on its own I think, as far as I can tell it's just one wire that goes from the cp to the sensor. But now that you mention it I should see whether anything goes out from the sensor onwards I suppose. I am a newbie, like to get hands dirty...

Extend wires from control panel to sensor

Hi I have a Veritas alarm system, pretty old model. I need to extend the wire that goes to one of the sensors. Any tips, steps etc much appreciated. Thanks

Kitchen tap aerator fallen out (Ed.)

Yes, there do appear to be dips in the plastic that indicate certain bits were joined together. At least to mine eyes. Using a vice on a steel solid piece may work, but I don't have a vice. I was thinking of supeglue on #2 and then slot that into #7 to stop it falling out. In the end I...

Kitchen tap aerator fallen out (Ed.)

Good idea, however if I put #2 into #7 it only goes so far and then no further, see image. I also can't help feeling that #1 and #2 were joined together at some point. Certainly in all the pictures I have seen on eBay they appear to be one piece joined together.

Yes I think exactly that. See video at this link: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/0gqnva6akw1e01hzgc2k8/20240923_225235.mp4?rlkey=wwxz9bso901di0pbuyyg4t6zg&dl=0

Kitchen tap aerator fallen out (Ed.)

I can post whatever you need. However, it screws in fine assembled and also when not assembled. The problem is that when I put all the bits into part 7 and screw it in, they all immediately fall out from the bottom of the tap. I'll make a video showing what I mean. Thanks.

Kitchen tap aerator fallen out (Ed.)

Been to 5+ local shops, no one has one although one chap told me it's a 19mm one that I need. Going to look on eBay.

Kitchen tap aerator fallen out (Ed.)

Yes, Part 7 is fine, it screws into the tap no problem.

Kitchen tap aerator fallen out (Ed.)

Thanks both. I think I've managed to piece it together apart from the fact that it still wants to drop out of the bottom of the tap - which makes me think that something's broken somewhere, or that hot water has eroded something somewhere. There appears to be a little bit of a gap between the...
