I have a foot pump, so will check it tomorrow when I have more time and a fresh. I have the tap washer to fix too but I'm too hot and bothered now from this weather :)
So it's a leak somewhere, the Pressure alve leaking or the expansion vessel that is at fault
He did stick a probe in the flue outlet, but he was there about 40 minutes, did things at the meter, checked things on the boiler, brushed burner/something out inside and checked inside. Then he checked the casing after (round the edge & back) with a lighted pen type thing.
I totally agree/understand. But I didn't have the boiler manual. He did take the case off, check a few things, did something at the gas meter and some match test around the case after. He did a good job though
A serice of a modern gas boiler doesn't always mean the boiler is dismantled/cleaned, as a lot of new boilers if touched inside/dismantled will break down after. I know this as my boile rwas serviced in April and the guy told me this. He did use a machine to test the flue combustion though.
Another quick question while I'm online, it's been annoying for ages now
The boiler pressure drops in about a week from 1.5 to about 0.2 and I have to top it ip to get the combi to fire up.
What could be the causes of this. I have checked for a ny leaks and all seems ok,also the pressure...
yes got it off!!! freed it with force and a lot of sweat !!!!!
But as you mentioned, I am having trouble getting the nut part out of the tap body. I have used an adjustable on it but it's so stiff.
ANy tips please would be so helpful :)
