I'm looking to get a new gas/electric range. For now we're planning on leaving the kitchen as is. I also don't want to move the current cooker (positioned in old fireplace) until the new one is here if you see what I mean.
How easy will it be to instal a new circuit and fused spur around the...
So basically the boiler will just keep the tank of water warm whilst we’re away? The mains supply being off won’t make any difference cos it has that water in the tank to heat? What are the negs of just turning the hot water off and presumably leaving a tank of cold water there the next two...
But if I've turned off the stopcock could I not damage the tank if it has no water to call on? Had a leak when getting a new bathroom a while back hence now terrified of leaks so want the peace of mind of only a finite amount of water being able to get out!
Hello!
I'm going on holiday tomorrow. We have a sealed pressurized CH system with a Vaillant ecotech plus boiler. We then have an RM Unvented Cylinder. Had a leak recently in our bathroom pipes so now terrified of leaks whilst we're away. So if I want to turn the water off before we go away...
We have a mystery damp patch on one of our upstairs chimney (unused) breasts. Have had the chimney repaired/repointed by various people but the damp remains. It's not really getting any bigger over time so don't think is water ingress. Directly below it is a cooker installed in the closed up...
Brilliant thank you. We’re getting a Valliant eco tech plus. Not sure what cylinder, was going to let my plumber choose. He wasn’t keen on the mega-flo ones due to the bubble. Is it worth me pushing him to get a really good tank with best recovery times possible?
Looking to install a new boiler and unvented cylinder in our airing cupboard. Space is fairly tight especially as the flue has to slide past the cylinder and out the wall. Hence thinking we might need a slimline model. Seems these only really go up to 210l (bar a couple of lesser brands). We are...
