Will I be OK on this & will it work?

"Everything works well"........So leave it alone! The majority of systems will have some debris. If you have cold spots on radiators or circulation problems then action is needed and what you propose is a good way of cleaning the system. Ollie20 is right, I would only circulate cleaner for...

baxi boiler prv leaking and pressure dropping?

Open the filling loop and the prv at the same time to flush mains water through it, should clear any c**p. Sometimes they just wont stop dripping though and need to be changed. The prv should normally discharge a 3bar so if the pressure in the boiler was 3.5bar its faulty and needs...

    ls-x

I use it for the same things as you would bosswhite/green. Generally, as a jointing compound for compression fittings. Its great stuff if you put the lid back on after you use it otherwise you'll spend time picking the cured stuff out the top. Pricey though...

How could i seal this gap from my shower??

It should be fixed to the wall. If its not, its going move over time and ultimately leak. In my opinion anything else is a bodge.

How could i seal this gap from my shower??

Always blame the missus mate  Most shower profiles will take a certain amount of wonkiness in the wall. 25mm approx. Either the tray or wall or both are on the p**s. This is the installers fault, not the wife's!

    High mains pressure

Most people complain about a lack of pressure tipper, you should be grateful! Is the high pressure causing problems? It is high but I would think plenty of houses round the country have "rather high" pressure at times of low demand. If there is no reg stipulating they should protect your...

Downstairs radiators don't heat up while upstairs do

If the cold feed is blocked it will be a slug of iron oxide. Hence the magnet. The cold feed is normally the 15mm pipe connected inbetween the 22mm vent and the pump. The vent and cold feed should be no more than 150mm apart. If you don't have a strong magnet (I don't!) turn the cold mains...

How could i seal this gap from my shower??

If you've paid someone to fit this get them back to install it properly! I could park my van in that gap....

    Sizing accumulators/large hot water demand

Its the Bathford rugby club Doitall. One of yours? I've never fitted an Andrews or Rinnai or similar. Just standard vented/unvented and combis so appreciate the advice. Obviously I need to reassess the current installation but why is the use of accumulators not necessarily a first...

    Sizing accumulators/large hot water demand

Spot on Tony, I am out of my depth hence the questions! Its nice to learn new things though.. :) I not so inexperienced to know that the flow rate I took isn't enough to supply the showers and should have spent more time testing the system. As there are no accumulators then I assume...

    Sizing accumulators/large hot water demand

Have just been looking on the Rinnai site which looks good although many options available. Based on what you guys are saying instantaneous water heating does seem the best option bearing in mind a bunch of sweaty rugby players will be using the majority of the hot water at weekends and then...

    Sizing accumulators/large hot water demand

I need to size a system for my local rugby club which currently has 2, very ancient, 280 litre Andrews water heaters supplying 11 showers and 3 basins. The most showers I've had to supply water for in the past is 5 so any advice would be welcome. My first thoughts were to install an...

    Vented cylinder in the loft

Cheers Mehran, good to know you've done something similar successfully! I've just got back from the site and we've decided to install a Gledhill horizontal cylinder and also up the size of it. This will mean the cylinder is situated below the cwsc. We've never installed a horizontal...
