I asked about this earlier, catlad.
I have done catlad’s water test and taken a few more snaps. There certainly does not seem to be a split in the lead where the water might seep through, but the mortar that holds the rear apron does...
Sorry, I have been away for a couple of days. I will try to carry out catlad’s test with a rag as soon as I can get up there.
Yorkie, where is the soleplate? Is it the flat piece at the back that sits under the tiles with the (short) upstand?

cwb, is that the back gutter Xenon referred to earlier – I am assuming that this is the same thing? Sounds sensible, though. I will test the lead first as catlad suggests and then work out the best...
