    Laminate landing stairs top step

Am I being a div? Planning to install laminate on the landing and carpet on the stairs. I having real trouble finding a simple solution to join the two. I currently have a standard softwood bullnose. The plan is to cut this straight but all the laminate stair nosing’s seems to be weird and won’t...

    Extending GRP drip edge

How and where would the felt support trays attach? The photos I can find they seem to be for tiled roofs so not sure how to use with a GRP roof. Thanks.

    Extending GRP drip edge

The existing trim is as the red one below..it just wasn't extended far enough off the roof.

    Extending GRP drip edge

Hi. I need to extend the drip edge of my GRP roof as it's just missing the gutter sometimes. I think it's that close to being OK the direction of the wind makes a difference. My plan was to "glue" a UPVC drip edge on and paint it grey to match the rest of the roof. Stupid idea?

    Kitchen unit identification

Anyone know what kitchens the house builder William Davis used about 5 years ago? Have a blown unit under the sink that needs replacing. Can't see anything on any the cabinets/plinths /shelves themselves just the hinges and draws. I'm assuming a B&Q one should be OK? Cheers.

    Candy ro16104dwmce not spinning

Motor is fine as spins happily to 1600 when empty. Set level and hasn't moved from where it used to work quite happily.

    Candy ro16104dwmce not spinning

Hi. I have a Candy ro16104dwmce that happily spins at full speed when empty but just turns slowly with anything in it. I'm assuming some sort of wonky load sensor fault. Any idea where to look or if it's user serviceable? Cheers

    Sliding door threshold

Not sure what you mean. Cill is set back into the brickwork as it's part of the sliding door. Slot drain is installed as close as possible to the cill. I'm getting decking installed and want a flat transition, so i have a gap I need to fill, so asking for ideas as someone may have done similar.

    Sliding door threshold

Slot drain is level with the cill in the middle of the door, slighty lower at the ends to give the drain soime fall. Weep hole lower then the drain.

    Sliding door threshold

Thanks. Probably should have said, slot drain is well cemented in! :) It is a weep hole if any water gets in the frame hence why I'd like to place something removable in case access is ever needed.

Steel Beam wider than Cavity Wall - Extension

Had a thread here https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/steel-bean-cavity-wall-sizes.478881/ Ended up using narrower, taller steels Beam Details Beam Span Length = 5.76m Steel Beam Selected = 305 x 127 x 48 UB S275 Which is a little over the 100mm brick width, but only (127-100/2) 13.5mm either...

Steel Beam wider than Cavity Wall - Extension

Had the same issue. Well we had 2 steels when butted against each other were wider than the wall. I assume it's a cavity wall? Ask them to design with 2 steels. And give them the existing wall dimensions and state needs to fit with these measurements. Good luck. I ended up using an online...

    Sliding door threshold

Hi. After ideas to fill this gap between sliding door and slot drain. 65mm deep 25mm wide. 5m long. Black or anthracite grey. Ideally removable for clearing leaves, etc. Did toy with the idea of cutting up some tiles but didn't really work Wasn't sure weather to post here, gardens, or windows...
