thanks for that. Yes the device does seem to have two screws on a endes of both sides but is there a special key or tool for adjusting these as it just had threads and no screw heads??

Thanks for your reply. It is a overhead one like the one in the very bottom left of the picture on this page: http://www.randrsecurity.com/details.php?product=2919 There are a few different screws which ithink adjust the setting but i don't really want to get it wrong!

Hi, Can anyone tell how to adjust my door closing device so that it does not slam. It closes very slowly until about 5cm away and then slams hard - is this adjstable? It is made by arrone if that helps. Many thanks
