So I got the screwdriver and on the radiator with no thermostat I turned both knobs with the pliers anticlockwise and did the same to the non thermostat knobs on the others and yay I have heat , but have I done this correctly ?

* this rad when I was bleeding then had a leak , I thought I’d closed the tap and left the room and came back and my floor was soaked , would this have anything to do with it? This rad has never worked though even before that

Nothing gets warm , the valves don’t turn or am I doing something wrong

Ok so I turned all the rad thermostats off and only left on the ones which were not working. 2 came on , they took a while to get hot but they did in the end . It is just this one that never came on

I just want a a paint that has the best opacity so I don’t have to go 3/4 coats

Which is better for opacity ? Contract or trade ( what is the diff) ? Or if you know of another good thick one coat paint ?

Ok. So I shall experiment tomorrow , my boiler in upstairs bathroom so should I start with upstairs rads and then down ? And should I put them on max ? Also the other knob on the rad that doesn’t have a thermostat thing doesn’t move , is that normal and does that turn off rad ? … I just thought...

I don’t know what system I have so if someone could enlighten me! I’m wondering if the ones which don’t work have enough water in them ?

I know nothing about boilers , only some of my radiators working . 2 are Luke warm and one cold, others are hot. I thought it might be something to do with not enough water in them and a filling loop ? Not sure , I added some pics if anyone can help me, 1 radiator does not have a thermostat...

Is it possible the ones which don’t work do not have enough water in them ,? And how do I fix that? I am not sure if you can tell from the photos previous which heating system I have ? Such as pressure,combi or conventional?
