    Thanks for that information John. I will bear in mind shuttering ply when I have to replace the floor, but in the mean time, I just need to get it drained. Do you agree with libby that it will be safe to use the drill?

    It is some sort of board. Not sure if it is chipboard. Would that matter? The water will seep away into the grass.

    Thanks Libby for your helpful reply. Drilling holes in the floor is the only option I'm afraid - drastic or not! lol Any other opinions on whether this is a safe thing to do are welcome. Thanks to Richard and Freddie for trying to help anyway.
