Thanks everyone. Sounds like it would be a bit daft to go ahead with Ideal Logic, at least until its a proven product. So - any views on the best alternative? In our old house, we had a Potterton (although not a combi) which gave us many trouble free years. Are they up to scratch on combis?

Hmm... wonder why he'd recommend them. Are they perhaps offering 'incentives' to fitters to promote these models?

Need a new combi boiler for my flat - fitter is recommending the Ideal Logic. Seems like Ideal is a dirty word on this forum - have things improved with this model?
