    Illegal parking..

Yes, an argument is pointless. And yes, there are many out there with concealed ailments that can't be judged, but we both know, that in a line of 20 bays in say a large supermarket, you can often see nobody that has any visible mobility problems. They can't ALL have none visible conditions can...

    Illegal parking..

Lymmranger: NO.....my comments were unfair, I suppose it depends on how ill she gets whilst out of the car. Maybe she CAN get back to the car sometimes. Mind you, with that condition, I think I might be more likely to leave her with somebody, whilst I brought the car to her.

    Illegal parking..

As a 'blue badge' holder, I would like to make the following observations. Firstly: You shouldn't use a blue badge to park in inconvenient places because you can. No wonder you wind people up! Secondly: When I struggle to find a disable bay to park in, there seems to be hardly anyone else...

    Wheel balancing problem.

The drive shafts sound interesting...... Can I ask whether the vibration is constant, or is it occasional? If occasional, perhaps two sides of drive shafts get out of sync, and vibrate in conflict. i.e. two slightly bent driveshafts, that when in sync, the vibration is unoticeable, but when...

    parking on a junction ? illegal ?

Yes, irrational. Not to forget, that drivers are either forced to overtake a stationary bus within the zig zags (illegal) or to queue behind the bus while it finishes dealing with passengers. There are numerous situations where you are forced to pass stationary buses withing the zig zags...

    All Electric Cars

Having worked on the development of them for MANY years, including vehicles produced on the Bedford and Freight Rover production lines, I can say that when it comes to lead acid batteries, 98% of people are unable to manage them reliably. Lead / Acid batteries are NOT VIABLE......end of...

    All Electric Cars

I think you will find, that many of them may use a paraffin fired heater like many commercial vehicles. No. not a wick and flame! parrafin is fired into a combustion chamber, and the heat is removed via a heat exchanger. Sounds like a mini jet engine when its running. Bout the same volume as a...

    Punctures.

I would guess not, as no hint has come up elsewhere, but when I started reading this post, a thought crossed my mind. Would they put Nitrogen in a repaired tyre, as some sort of reactive ingredient to cure the adhesive on the puncture repair plug? From my experience, so many things get done...

    parking on a junction ? illegal ?

Too right! I once saw a Police car parked at a road junction at night, with no lights on, half on the pavement, and within the zig-zags of a zebra crossing. Honestly!! Not making it up! I took the reg number and reported them to the Police station by phone when I got home.

    parking on a junction ? illegal ?

Quote LooPrEvil: Don't forget GB they are your neighbours, you will still have to live next door to them and face them, knowing what you have done! And what will you do / say when they come round and warn you not to park on the pavement, because the bizzies are targetting motorists in the area...

    Wheel balancing problem.

You seem to have covered everything I can think of, particularly flats on tyres from standing. Only other thing that comes to mind, is suspension. Are both sides the same? i.e. has a spring been replaced with the wrong one on one side. If the suspension on one side responds differently to...

Sludged Intake Manifold on Ford Fiesta 1.4TDCi - PLEASE HELP

I'm too wrinkly to be up to date on vehicle design these days, but..... In the old days, overfilling with oil, would almost guarantee oil seal failures. Maybe several. Clouds of smoke when starting? Oil in cylinders, quickly burnt off, but signs of worse to come. i.e. Oil getting on...

OLD BATTERY CHARGER - IS IT WORKING?

It's getting on age wise...... Nobody has thought of the obvious, that the ammeter's were so rubbish on these things, that it may just be the ammeter that's failed. They are virtually just a short circuit anyway, and the ammeter is really a voltmeter connected across a low value resistor, and...
