Funny thing is, the original part in my washer/dryer has a sticker with "Made in PRC". I wonder if that is the peoples republic of China?

Washing machine drum full of water

Thank-you all for the replies. Fred, the coarse filter is in tact and not broken, please see picture. Wayners, there are no flashing lights of error codes. I did a wash yesterday and it worked as it should. I then turned the blue water isolator tap off. John, I had to go out this morning and...

Washing machine drum full of water

Hello all, I last used the Indesit washer/dryer 3 days ago. This afternoon I was going to fill the drum with laundry but it was full of water. I used a sponge and bucket to empty it and thought I would have a look at the pump pre-chamber to see if anything was stuck in there. It was clean and...

    Dripping Kitchen tap.

Thanks, great idea. I did not know they existed. Watched a couple if videos in the type to get. You would think plumbers bungs would not be hard to find on either ebay, screwfix, b&q or toolstation but none of them have the continuous type.

    Dripping Kitchen tap.

Thank-you. So draining down the hot water is the way to go. I had a look in the loft and there is a pipe coming from the bottom of the water tank in the loft to the bottom of the cylinder, see picture. The red valve is completely stuck so would I need to prop up the ball valve in the tank to...

    Dripping Kitchen tap.

I have a dripping Kitchen tap, I was able to shut off the mains water to replace the cold tap but there is no isolating valve to the hot tap. I live in a concrete floored bungalow and the pipe goes under the floor in the kitchen but I cannot see where it goes to, I would have thought to the...

    No hot water

Since my original post 2 weeks I have been turning on the boost for 30 minutes each morning and this is enough water for me. Today I thought I would do some research and learn about the water heater. I found this video which is quite in depth. My temperature dial does not have numbers like the...

    No hot water

I am one of those that thought running the washing machine in the early hours would be cheaper, I set it earlier so that the cycle finishes at 8am (I know my changeover time is 8:15 am as I have watched the meter outside.)

    No hot water

I see, thank-you for all of your help. For now I will just use the boost as and when I need it.

    No hot water

This is a 1988 bungalow if that helps. I had a look at both consumer units. Small one = Lounge heater Hall heater Kitchen heater Main switch. Large one, Garage Sockets Bathroom/Utility heater. RCD Cooker Immersion heater Bedroom heater Lights Main switch

    No hot water

I see, what a shame, I was hoping I could use boost on the lower rate if used before 8:15 am. There are 2 consumer units next to each other, the smaller one on the left is for the lounge, hall and kitchen storage heaters only.
