    Hi the water pressure in our central heating system was showing 3 bar, 4 hours after the boiler switched off. I have relieved some pressure using the valve on top of the Opticon gauge but it creeps back up to 3 bar when the boiler is running. not sure if this is connected but the oil boiler...

    problem solved- the feed line and fittings were pressure tested and all is OK. when the new Danfoss BFP 11 pump was fitted the installer didnt remove the horseshoe washer from inside the pump, as it should be for a double pipe system. thanks Oilhead

    ours wasnt swept for several years and buckets of wet soot came out. it was last swept a year ago and we have a slight stain appearing again. you could fit a rain cowl which should solve it permanently. Ive been told they should be swept twice a year to satisfy home insurance. not sure how true...

    we had the same issue that was cured when the chimney was swept ( we have a log fire). the rain was getting down the chimney making the soot wet which seeped through the chimney breast/ceiling.
