Thanks Bernard - so 90 degrees seems ok. Does the fact that its cat 7 make any difference? As I understand it a bend radius of 1 inch means its coming back on itself which it definitely wouldnt do.
When we're using wifi for skype/zoom meetings from my spare room/office the screen freezes, signal drops etc and we've been advised to get an ethernet connection. So I'm planning to run an ethernet cable from my virginmedia superhub to the spare room. To do this I'll have to go through the wall...
wgt52 thanks for the suggestion. I don't think it's an issue with next door in my sons room. He's in the loft and they don't have one. Also the mesh thing is a bit expensive. Is it possible to do what I suggested - stick a router on the end of the ehthernet and have that produce a wifi signal...
Thanks for your help so far everyone. Yes I want to avoid powerline adapters - I've heard lots of bad reports. My broadband is with virginmedia I have their hub 3.0. This is next to the entry point to the house. Then ethernet cat 7 to splitter (tplink) which is 3m away. Two ethernet cat7s from...
Hi - I'm not too tech aware so would be grateful for any advice on this.....I have a computer in my living room connected by ethernet to the router. On the first floor I have another computer in the spare room - connected via wifi.
In the loft - just above the spare room - is my son's room...
Thanks for this - yes I can do it myself just a bit annoyed at having to do it again. As for the support and the manufacturer's testing the fact that it's gone in exactly the same way suggests it's not a support fault as this wasn't mentioned by the Bosch technician originally. Just wondered if...
I bought a Bosch built in oven in 2007. Three years ago it "blew" - I'd noticed that prior to this, one end of the grill element was gradually twisting downwards from the ceiling of the oven.
Got an electrician in to replace the element, which cost about £150 all told - but when I saw him...
Last time I did this it took ages with a pick and shovel and obviously the hole was much wider than necessary to accommodate the tools. Need to do the other side of the garden now and was considering either a manual auger (petrol driven too expensive for 6 posts) or a post hole digger which...
Thanks for the reply. The machine is 85cm tall including the top and the space under the counter is 84cm, even when I go right down to the concrete floor.
The washing machine has kept its rigidity for the last eight years so I'm not too worried about that. Can you see anything wrong with me...
For various reasons too boring to go into, our kitchen worktops were fitted 2 cm lower than standard. This means that our tumble drier and washing machine only fit under the counter top without their tops on.
This has worked fine for 8 years but we've just had our washing machine repaired...
Can anyone recommend a floor cleaning product which is ok for an engineered uv oiled oak floor? I've seen the Woca one for £20 for a litre but that's a bit steep considering we need to clean this floor twice a week. Is the Ecover floor soap ok? Any others you know of?
Thanks
