Both sets of doors will need the masonry bulking up/thickening for stability. Assume by bulking up, you are suggesting piers either side of both doorways or did you mean another method

It wont come on at all unless you physically touch the sensor with your hand. Even then it sometimes doesn't. Its very random whether it will come on or not
