    Vinyl flooring for sheds

Thank you. I have wooden shed with wooden floor strengthened by 3mm plywood. Rubber tiles might be difficult to roll or drag stuff over. I am going to have 2.5mm vinyl roll flooring installed.

It was vapour breathable membrane, which felt like paper. Still not sure whether I need to have it done or not.

    Vinyl flooring for sheds

Thank you, John. I will ensure that the shed is dried for 2 - 3 weeks before laying vinyl. I did have vinyl in my old shed for 30 years and apart from dropping a can of paint on it, it survived fine. I will take care to ensure that I don't accicdently puncture it. Will probably end up storing...

    Vinyl flooring for sheds

Hello Mike, Thank you for your prompt response. The 3mm plywood base is fixed to the base of the shed to give it extra support. The nonfoamed soft vinyls seems to be very thin and tear off easily. All the thick 2mm - 5mm vinyls have extra foam and is spongy. There are vinyls with felt base but...

    Vinyl flooring for sheds

I have just bought a wooden shed with a 3mm plywood base. I would like to cover the floor with roll Vinyl flooring. The choice and selection and the price variation is so confusing. I will be putting up metal shelving for storage and will have couple of tables to work on. I would also need to...

    Brick/breeze/concrete blocks shed

Hello, How much would a structure like this cost for my size shed - Labour + Materials separately ? Also, how long would it last? How deep would be the foundations? Where are you based? Would you like to give me a quote for my shed?

Someone else mentioned that. Would that slope be enough for the rain water to adequately drain away. My nextdoor neighbour has a very slight slope on his breeze block shed and the rain water often puddles in the middle. They have replaced their felt roof many times.

Given the trams I think I would make in timber frame - it can still be rendered outside. I think the vibration will lead to cracks When you say timber frame, do you mean timber frame behind the concrete blocks? Do concrete blocks crack?

My shed would be approx 5.4864m x 3.8m = 20.845m. The picture shows the boundary fence with my next door neighbour. Behind the wall is alleyway and tram. It's the end of the corner garden for both me and my next door neighbour.

    Brick/breeze/concrete blocks shed

Hello, I need some advice regarding building brick, concrete and thermalite blocks. I have done a rough plan for my shed as shown below. How deep should the foundations be? Does a Council inspector have to come and check the depth? Does the height of 290cms, comply with building regulations as...
