My wife and I bought a 1907 “Tudorbethan” property 2 years ago to retire to. Its walls were described as “pebble dashed” (painted white) but it doesn’t look like what I understand by pebble dash. Anyway, some of it is now failing, and we are at a bit of a loss as to how to set about repairing...

Sorry, I have caused confusion. This is not a pressure gauge showing pressure in bar! It’s a little indicator in the LED display, which looks just like the old wifi/mobile signal strength indicator...
OK so the heating has two zones, upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs has been off for an hour, downstairs still on, so load on boiler reduced. Water temp in boiler with setting dial as high as it will go, is 68deg. The 5 bar indicator indicating how hard boiler is firing (?) shows 3 bars...
We had the plumber round who carried out the service (to fix a leak in the condensate pipe). Seemed very competent (hard though it is to judge). I guess I should ask him the question I posted here (but wanted to get others’ opinions first so I’m not flying blind)
3 bed semi detached but quite large (circa 2000 sqft) and old and poorly insulated (at present). Boiler is I believe 17kW. Hot water from taps is pretty hot (not measured temp).
