A few months back there were some strong winds and it resulted in what looks like some sort of tape coming off the underside of the roof eaves on the house. About three years ago we had the verges rebedded. Do I need to get this fixed? Looks like some kind of sealant to keep moisture out?

Hi I'm fitting a piece of skirting board to a wall for the first time. Can anyone poitn me in the right direction as how to do this? Would I fix it to the wall with some sort of adhesive or use nails/screws? Cheers Andrew
