Grohe Rapid or Solido? What's the difference?

Hi there, I'm currently looking at the Grohe wall mounted toilets and need a 0.82m one. There seems to be a choice between the Rapid or the Solido. However, I can't see any difference! Does anyone know what the difference is? Thanks.

Siemens Tumble Dryer Problem - Hose/filter warning

Spent the weekend taking the machine to bits. The temperature limit sensors are working. The NTC sensor is working fine. Cleaned out the entire machine. Motor is fine. Heater is fine. Fan is fine. Belts are fine. Still produces the same problem. I can only think it's the PCB. Any opinions...

Siemens Tumble Dryer Problem - Hose/filter warning

Hi. I've got a Siemens IQ300 (WT36V394GB/12) tumble dryer. It keeps stopping after a short time with the hose/filter light flashing. I've checked the filter - all clean. I've cleaned out the airways of the machine, removing lots of fluff - now all clear. I've even bought a new hose - all...

    Banging thermostatic shower valve

Hi folks, Our thermostatic shower valve bangs quite loudly (about 2Hz). I presume it's because it's trying to get the temperature right? Is there any way I can stop this, as it wakes the whole house up if I have a shower at night / first thing in the morning! Merry Christmas!

    Peugeot 106 central locking problem

It turned out to be a broken wire in the door. I never got round to mending it. The head gasket went for the 2nd time and the car's long gone! Sounds an interesting problem, and very different to mine. Good luck!

Not sure which bits you are refering to. Are they shown in the PDF?

Bath Ideal Waste System really stiff

I just squirted some silicone around the plug hole in the bath before reinstalling the mechanism. However, if it wasn't working when installed, I'd make sure it's working before you put it back onto the bath. No Plumbers mait required.

You take the silver cover off the plug hole, then untwist the outer part of the plughole. There is a special tool you can use, but I managed to undo mine by hand (although it was a bugger)!

Bath Ideal Waste System really stiff

If the trap's leaking and the plug doesn't work, I'd suggest taking it all off and starting again. Sounds like the cable isn't working properly or something isn't put together right.

Just normal 40mm waste connecters will work. Like this, but I used the type with compression type -...

Bath Ideal Waste System really stiff

If it's the bit where you connect the waste pipe, I took the outer collar off, leaving a smaller collar instead. Normal bath waste fittings then attach to it. I think I used a 45 degree bend to begin with. If it's not this bit, post a photo of the bit you are looking at.

Bath Ideal Waste System really stiff

There should be a magnetic plug that moves up and down that you put into the collar (if you mean the bit that the waste water runs through). Gave mine a good clean up and it works fine now. Not convinced it's a brilliant design though, as a couple of bits have broken off the silver plug...

Bath Ideal Waste System really stiff

It's always been stiff. I installed it about 18 months ago, so probably too long ago to send it back. I'll take to to bits and see if I can clean it out at all. Thanks

Bath Ideal Waste System really stiff

Does anyone have any experience with the Ideal Standard bath waste system - as described here - http://www.ideal-standard.hu/letoltheto_katalogus/first_bath_2008.pdf I've got one on our bath, but it's really stiff to turn. Opening the plug is virtually impossible!! Could it just have some...
