    But I don't know if it's an 8.5Kw or not that I have! I'm only going to replace it with a 7.2kw so that hopefully it won't blow my electrics. Does anyone out there know what Kw the Gainsborough ES550 is? Sue x

    I need to replace my shower but don't know what Kw the existing one is (it's a Gainsborough ES550). Can I put a 7.2Kw one in if it is existing wiring for 8.5Kw or higher?

    If it is a 7.2Kw then would it need rewiring to be replaced by a 8.5kw? But if it is a 8.5Kw then can I put a lower one on it?
