Thanks Bonni, I'm planning on doing that and asking for recommendations for the correct materials to use. I've never had a wood burner before or fixed a fire surround before.

Good Morning, I'm needing some advice on our woodburner surround, the sealant around the backboard/side walls has cracked and some has come away completely (see photos) I suspect the incorrect material was used when the previous owners installed it. What is the best sealant/filler to use? Or...
