Same here, my WF541 packed up with flashing lights. But a quick check on here, a new capacitor, and some soldering, it is all sorted now. Thanks for the advice.

How to get 1 or 2 kitchen items from Nobilia / kutchenhaus

Hi all, I have a new build flat that has a kitchen from the German company Nobilia / kutchenhaus. From their website I can see the exact range I have, but not having much luck finding any UK retailers. I'm after a integrated washing machine door, with matching plinth and side board. Any...

Boxing in an inline centrifugal fan in bathroom

Just an update, I got the Vent Axia Lo Carbon Quadra in the end because I was able to get this off fleabay quite cheaply. It is a wall mounted centrifugal fan, smart appearance but obviously a little on the noisy side. I have a hot power shower set up (over a bath tub), so my problem was a...

Boxing in an inline centrifugal fan in bathroom

I think the National Ventilation fan might be just the thing. The most powerful version will still fit my existing 4 inch duct, yet achieves 240m3/h. A little noisy though at 47 decibels! I don't fancy enlarging the duct to 6", so fingers crossed I can get hold of the one of these fans...

Boxing in an inline centrifugal fan in bathroom

Cheers for the responses everyone. I am sure the original design of the building did not try to accomodate power showers, so ventilation is something we're considering now that we do have a power showers. We have plenty of room under the door to prevent a vacuum, a gap of 2cm x 69cm. I...

Boxing in an inline centrifugal fan in bathroom

Hi all, I currently have a standard bathroom wall fan that does not clear water vapour quick enough from hot power showers. It has a 4 inch duct straight through the wall. I looking to upgrde the wall fan to something like this...

Washer Dryer - Right Hinged Door

I'm searching for the same and came across this old thread... I'm considering the Caple Tdi100. Whoever named this must think it runs on diesel. It has a reversible door, see PDF at the manufacturer's website. However I've never heard of Caple... could be a pile of crap?

    Internal Fanlight

I would like to make a fanlight above a bedroom door, to allow the passage of light from bedroom into the corridor leading to it. Traditionally I believe these are constructed together with the door lining, but as I the door is already built can anyone advise? The wall above the door is...

    Self adhesive frosted film

I got some cheap stuff off ebay and worked a treat, had to spray the glass with water before applying the film, then sprayed the area again, this allows me to move the film into accurate position, then used a credit card to remove all the excess water, with towels on standby to soak it all up.

    Internal doorsets, opinions please?

I looked into this and even visited a few places that had them on show, I found they were generally either very cheap or very expensive, likewise with the build quality. If you are after a very cheap doorset, I had seen them being sold for a little as £50. That includes the door lining...

Fire door install and the LABC

Thanks for replying, I only just saw it. It's a Building Notice which is what my LA uses for small works, the building officer who visited me confirmed that the firedoor can be done DIY, rather than someone from FENSA, etc.

    Door lining (quality of wood)

Hello, I'm replacing several doors and door linings, as the existing ones have been battered quite a bit. The door linings I have seen so far are soft pine with knots all over the place, whcih I think tend to be difficult to get a good finish. Will probably have to paint them white as the...

    Under kitchen cabinet heater

Think I just answered my own question with the help of googling. http://www.heatandplumb.com/acatalog/Myson_Kickspace_Heater_500H.html Would still appreciate any advice, these things look pretty expensive :(

    Under kitchen cabinet heater

I have a small kitchen which has a cold draught due to an air brick behind the cabinets under the worktop. Most of the time this tends to blow air into the rest of the flat. I understand I shouldn't block this for ventilation reasons. When getting the kitchen installed, I saw some electric...
