Hello, I'm replacing several doors and door linings, as the existing ones have been battered quite a bit.

The door linings I have seen so far are soft pine with knots all over the place, whcih I think tend to be difficult to get a good finish. Will probably have to paint them white as the only option for a good finish.

Does anyone know if knot free door linings are generally available? (and where?!)

you could make your own, using decent floor board material to the desired sizes, pick through the stack of timber to choose the best bits, and all they are really is a housing joint, obtain the required door stops and bobs ur aunty.
